But when the equipment is past its expected service life, when the refrigerant the system was designed for is no longer supported, or when a single repair quote starts to approach the cost of a new system, replacement quietly becomes the smarter long-term call.

We will walk through the actual numbers with you. If repair is still the right move, we will say that — even if you came in expecting a quote for a new system.

How We Decide on Your Behalf

Before we recommend replacement, we work through a short list:

  • ·  Age and operating hours of the existing equipment
  • ·  Refrigerant type and whether the system was originally R-22
  • ·  Repair history and the cost of the next likely failure
  • ·  Real-world cooling performance against what the equipment was rated for
  • ·  Ductwork condition — replacing the box without addressing the ducts often disappoints

Every replacement starts with an ACCA Manual J load calculation so the new system is sized to your actual home, not a rule of thumb. Equipment is matched to that calculation, installed by our crew to the manufacturer’s spec, and signed off before we leave.

As a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer, when we install Carrier, it is installed the way Carrier wants it installed.
