The Air Scrubber by ActivePure mounts directly onto your existing ductwork. When your blower runs, air passes the patented ActivePure Cell, which generates the ActivePure technology Aerus markets for air and surface purification. No separate fan, no new ductwork, 17 watts of power.

New Air Scrubber Installation
We mount the A1013U directly onto your HVAC ductwork, tap 24 V from your air handler, install the required safety switch, and confirm the unit is running before we leave. Typical install is under an hour per air handler.
ActivePure Cell Replacement & Service
The ActivePure Cell Assembly is a scheduled-replacement part (covered 2 years under Aerus warranty). We track replacement through your maintenance plan so the unit keeps running on a current cell instead of quietly drifting out of spec.
Integration with Your Existing HVAC
The Air Scrubber works alongside any setup you already have — single-stage, multi-stage, heat pump. If you already run UV-C, UV-V, or polarized media, we make sure everything plays well together. If you don’t, we can quote both on the same visit.

The Patented ActivePure Cell
The ActivePure Cell is a patented Aerus component that sits inside a steel housing on your ductwork. Return air passes the cell on every blower cycle. The cell is what drives the ActivePure technology — the cell is also what you eventually replace on a maintenance schedule.
What Aerus Says It Targets
Per the official Aerus product spec, the Air Scrubber targets VOC gases, smoke, and odors, and is positioned as both an air and surface purification unit. Elite AC stays with the factual product spec — we don’t make kill-rate or health-outcome claims on our site.
Operates Without Ozone
Aerus explicitly markets the Air Scrubber as operating without ozone. For Florida homeowners cautious about ozone-generating “purifiers,” this is one of the differentiators between the A1013U and other in-duct products in the same category.
What Air Scrubber Does Not Replace
The Air Scrubber is an add-on technology — it doesn’t replace your air filter (particulate capture), and it doesn’t clean your existing ductwork. Pair it with a real filter and, if needed, a coil-mounted UV-C system for a more complete indoor-air setup.
