WHEN A FULL REPLACEMENT IS THE RIGHT CALL

When the Whole System Has Reached the End

A full HVAC replacement makes sense when the equipment is at end-of-life across the board, when the air handler and condenser are mismatched after a partial repair years ago, or when the home has been added to or renovated and the existing system can no longer keep up.

It also makes sense when the cost of a partial fix would be most of the way to a full system — and you would still be left with old equipment somewhere in the loop.

WHAT IS INVOLVED

What a Full HVAC Replacement Covers

Each project is scoped to the home, but most full replacements include:

  • ·  Removal of the existing condenser, air handler, and controls
  • ·  Installation of new matched equipment sized via Manual J
  • ·  Refrigerant line set inspection (and replacement if required)
  • ·  Thermostat or control upgrade where appropriate
  • ·  Duct inspection, with sealing or repair work scoped separately if needed
  • ·  Start-up commissioning and walk-through

As a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer, our default for full system replacements is Carrier residential equipment. We also install Rheem and Goodman lines when those better match the home and the budget.
