Real Sub-Micron Capture
In Your Existing Filter Slot — Without a HEPA Overhaul
Most 1-inch whole-house filters trap particles above 1 µm. Polarized media uses an electrical field to polarize sub-micron particles so they collect on subsequent passes — which gets you real sub-micron capture in a filter that still drops into the rack you already have.
- ✓Drops into your existing 1-inch filter rack — no ductwork modifications.
- ✓97% effective at 0.3 µm — the size most residential filters miss entirely.
- ✓Powered by the R and C terminals on your furnace control board — 24 V, under 1 W draw.
- ✓Media pads replaced every 3–4 months depending on pets and smokers — tracked in your maintenance plan.
What We Do
AirRanger Services We Handle in Florida
Three end-to-end services for AirRanger polarized media air cleaners — install, replacement pads, and integration with the rest of your indoor-air setup.
New AirRanger Installation
We install the AirRanger directly into your existing 1-inch filter rack — no ductwork modifications, no new slots. Typical install is under an hour per air handler, with power tapped from the R and C terminals on your furnace control board.
Media Pad Replacement
Polarized media pads need replacement every 3–4 months depending on household conditions — pets, smokers, and cooking frequency all shorten pad life. We track replacement in your maintenance plan so the unit keeps hitting its rated efficiency.
Integration with UVC, UVV & Existing HVAC
The AirRanger handles particulate and odor. If you already have UVC or UVV on the coil, we make sure everything plays well together. If you don’t, we can quote both at once and install them on the same visit.
How It Works
How Polarized Media Filtration Works
Four honest points — what the physics is, what it captures, and what it’s not.
The Physics of Polarization
A low-voltage electrical field polarizes airborne particles as they pass through the media. Polarized sub-micron particles attract each other, join into larger clusters, and collect on subsequent passes. Sub-micron capture without the pressure drop or fan rework of a HEPA retrofit.
97% at 0.3 Microns
Third-party tested at 97% efficiency at 0.3 µm — the smallest particle size most 1-inch filters miss entirely. That’s in the range of smoke residue, dust mite debris, and finer allergens.
Built-In Carbon Grid for Odors
The AirRanger includes a patented carbon grid alongside the polarized media — so the unit handles cooking, pet, and solvent odors in addition to particulate. It’s a two-mode filter in one rack slot.
What AirRanger Does Not Do
It’s a particle and odor filter — not a biological disinfection layer. For coil-surface disinfection, pair it with UVC. For heavy gas-phase VOC load, pair it with UVV. We’ll tell you what you actually need before you buy anything extra.
